My Pound of Flesh

An interactive sculpture of two 1960s-style red telephones, modified to work with SIM cards. After display, one remains in my studio and the other is sold. The studio phone number is written on the underside of the sold piece, giving the buyer exclusive access. My Pound of Flesh reflects the expectation that artists surrender themselves emotionally, intellectually, and materially in exchange for recognition.
